50%

A 50% deposit is required to confirm a reservation. The remaining balance is due on the activity date before departure.

72h

Cancellation Window

Customer cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable.

6m

Weather Credit

Qualifying safety or weather cancellations receive a six-month credit, extendable up to twelve months with written approval.

Please review before bookingBy paying a deposit or confirming a reservation, the booking holder acknowledges this Cancellation Policy on behalf of all participants included in the reservation.
1Scope and Acceptance

This Policy applies to tours, rentals, transportation services, combination activities and other experiences reserved directly with SANTRAM LLC LIMITADA, operating as Wild Riders Adventure Tours.

The person making the reservation is responsible for communicating these conditions to every participant. Any mandatory rights granted by applicable Costa Rican law remain unaffected.

2Reservation Deposit and Final Balance
  • A deposit equal to 50% of the total reservation price is required to secure the requested date and time.
  • A reservation is not confirmed until the deposit is received and Wild Riders issues confirmation.
  • The remaining 50% must be paid on the day of the tour, before the activity or transportation service begins.
  • Failure to pay the balance may result in cancellation and application of the customer-cancellation terms.
Prices, taxes, payment-processing charges and other amounts shown in the confirmed quotation or booking record remain applicable.
3Cancellations by the Customer

Less than 72 hours before the activity

Cancellations received less than 72 hours before the scheduled starting time are non-refundable. The deposit and any additional amount already paid may be retained to cover reserved capacity, personnel, equipment, transportation and operational commitments.

At least 72 hours before the activity

When notice is received at least 72 hours in advance, the customer may request one rescheduling, subject to availability and the conditions in this Policy. A cash refund is not automatic unless Wild Riders expressly confirms it in writing or applicable law requires it.

All cancellation notices must be sent through an official Wild Riders communication channel. The effective time is when Wild Riders receives the message.

4Customer Rescheduling Requests
  • Requests must be submitted at least 72 hours before the scheduled activity.
  • Changes are subject to availability, season, equipment, guides, transportation and operating conditions.
  • Price differences, taxes or supplier-rate changes applicable to the new date must be paid by the customer.
  • A rescheduled reservation remains subject to this Policy and does not restart or expand the original cancellation rights.
  • Repeated changes may be declined or may require an administrative charge when disclosed and legally permitted.
5Weather, Safety and Unsafe Conditions

Wild Riders may postpone, modify, interrupt or cancel an activity when weather, sea conditions, visibility, road conditions, mechanical issues, official restrictions or another operational circumstance creates an unreasonable safety risk.

The final safety assessment belongs to Wild Riders and the responsible guide, captain, instructor, driver or operator. Isolated rain, clouds or an unfavorable forecast do not automatically entitle the customer to cancel or receive a credit when the activity can be safely provided.

If Wild Riders cancels before the activity for qualifying weather or safety reasons: the amount paid will be issued as a credit for rescheduling under Section 6.
6Weather and Safety Credit
  • The standard credit is valid for six months from the original activity date.
  • Wild Riders may extend validity up to twelve months only through prior written authorization.
  • The new activity date is subject to availability and operating conditions.
  • Any increase in price, taxes, participant count or selected service must be paid before the rescheduled activity.
  • The credit is non-refundable and non-transferable unless Wild Riders authorizes otherwise in writing or applicable law requires a different remedy.
  • Unused credit expires at the end of its authorized validity period.
7No-Shows

A no-show occurs when the customer or participant does not arrive at the confirmed meeting point at the required time, cannot be contacted, fails to appear for scheduled transportation, or decides not to participate after the service has been prepared.

No-shows are treated as same-day cancellations and are non-refundable. The full outstanding balance may remain payable when personnel, transportation, equipment or third-party services were reserved for the booking, to the extent legally permitted.

8Late Arrivals and Missed Pick-Ups

Customers must arrive at the stated meeting point or be ready for pick-up at the confirmed time. Late arrival may reduce the duration of the activity without a discount or refund. Wild Riders cannot guarantee that a delayed activity can be extended when another reservation or operational commitment follows.

If a delay makes participation impossible, the reservation may be treated as a no-show. Customers should immediately contact Wild Riders if they expect to be late.

9Group and Partial Cancellations

A reduction in participant count may change the price, vehicle allocation, transportation, private-service rate or minimum booking requirement. Partial cancellations made less than 72 hours before the activity are non-refundable.

The booking holder remains responsible for amounts confirmed for the group unless Wild Riders approves a revised quotation in writing.

10Operational Changes

For safety or operational reasons, Wild Riders may reasonably change routes, stops, vehicles, guides, departure points, schedules or the order of activities while preserving the essential nature and value of the booked experience whenever possible.

A reasonable operational adjustment does not by itself create a right to a refund. If a material portion of the service cannot be provided, Wild Riders will offer an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances and applicable law.

11Force Majeure and Events Beyond Control

Wild Riders is not responsible for delays, changes or cancellations caused by events reasonably beyond its control, including severe weather, natural events, road closures, government orders, strikes, civil disturbances, public emergencies, utility interruptions or closure of an activity site.

When practical and legally permitted, Wild Riders will offer rescheduling, credit or another reasonable solution after considering non-recoverable costs and supplier conditions.

12Approved Refunds and Processing

When a refund is expressly approved or legally required, it will generally be returned through the original payment method. Processing times depend on the bank, card issuer, platform or payment provider and are outside Wild Riders’ direct control.

Third-party or bank charges that were not received by Wild Riders may be excluded only where legally permitted and clearly disclosed. Wild Riders will provide reasonable confirmation of an approved refund.

13Bookings Through Agencies or Third Parties

Reservations made through a hotel, travel agency, online platform, concierge, tour operator or other intermediary may also be subject to that party’s cancellation and payment terms. Customers should submit cancellation requests through the original booking channel unless instructed otherwise.

If a third party collected the payment, that party may be responsible for processing any approved refund or credit.

14Applicable Law and Consumer Rights

This Policy is governed by the laws of Costa Rica. Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits any consumer right, remedy or protection that cannot legally be waived.

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

15Cancellation and Rescheduling Contact

Requests should include the booking holder’s full name, activity date, reservation details and requested action.
